Israeli army reports new rocket barrage from Lebanon
Israeli army says 27 rockets fired into Galilee region, Haifa Bay from Lebanon
The Israeli army said Sunday that it detected the launch of 27 rockets by Hezbollah from Lebanon into northern Israel.
A military statement said two rockets were fired into Karmiel and Menashe near Haifa, causing sirens to sound in the two areas.
The army said 15 more rockets were also launched towards the Galilee region, with some of the projectiles intercepted while others landed in open areas without causing damage.
The army said 10 more rockets were fired into Haifa Bay, triggering sirens there.
Hezbollah confirmed that its fighters had targeted with rockets Israeli troop deployments in five settlements in northern Israel.
Israel has escalated its air campaign in Lebanon since late September against what it claims are Hezbollah targets in an escalation from year-long cross-border warfare between Israel and Hezbollah since the start of Israel's brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip.
More than 2,900 people have been killed and over 13,000 injured in Israeli attacks since last October, according to Lebanese health authorities.
Israel expanded the conflict by launching an incursion into southern Lebanon on Oct. 1.

Israeli soldier killed in grenade explosion in northern Gaza, army says
Death toll of Israeli soldiers in Gaza war reaches 780 as ground operations continue
An Israeli soldier was killed in northern Gaza early Saturday when a hand grenade exploded, the Israeli army reported on Sunday.
According to Israel's Channel 13, the army stated that the incident occurred on Saturday morning, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the explosion. No additional details were released.
The latest casualty brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since the start of the war on Oct. 7, 2023, to 780, according to Israeli military statistics. Among these, 368 were killed during the ground offensive that began inside Gaza on Oct. 27.
Despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel has continued a devastating offensive on Gaza since an attack last year by the Palestinian resistance group.
More than 43,300 people have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 102,000 others injured, according to local health authorities.
Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in Gaza.
Israel kills 31 Palestinians, including children, across Gaza
Israel's brutal war on Gaza — now in its 394th day — has killed at least 43,341 people and wounded more than 102,105, with another 10,000 feared buried under debris. In Lebanon, Israel has killed 2,968 people since October last year.

1448 GMT –– At least 31 Palestinians were killed during Israeli bombardment across Gaza, Palestinian medics said, with nearly half of the deaths in northern areas where the army has waged a month-long brutal offensive.
Palestinians said the new aerial and ground aggressions and forced evacuations are ethnic cleansing aimed at emptying two northern Gaza towns and a camp of their population in order to create buffer zones.
Medics said at least 13 Palestinians were killed in separate attacks on houses in Beit Lahiya town and Jabalia, the largest of the enclave's eight historic refugee camps and the focus of the army's new offensive.
The rest were killed in separate Israeli air strikes in Gaza City and in southern areas, including one in Khan Younis, which health officials said had killed eight people, including four children.

We will never lay down our weapons: Hezbollah unveils Imad 5 missile
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon releases footage revealing a new missile facility "Imad 5", vowing to remain steadfast on the battlefield until victory, without fear or retreat.
"We will never leave the battlefield... We will never lay down our weapons," with this title, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon unveiled its new Imad 5 missile facility.
The footage shared by the Military Media displays fighters from Hezbollah riding their bikes through a forested area, followed by scenes of freedom fighters walking through a tunnel leading to an underground facility.
This tunnel is well-equipped for movement and houses missile launchpads.
Along the way, the fighters pass by a sign marking the facility as Imad 5 and then by a photo commemorating the martyred leader of the Resistance, the former Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, clearly marked with the words: "We swear by your blood."
This serves as a clear affirmation of their commitment to treading on the path that Sayyed Nasrallah had charted for decades.
The video then shows the freedom fighters preparing advanced missiles for launch from their positions within the facility. These missiles are located several meters underground, and a blast door is seen opening above them.
The footage is ended, right before the missile launch, with excerpts from a speech by martyred leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in which he vowed, "We will never be weakened, we shall never be afraid, and we shall never surrender."
"From here [we say]... we will never leave the battlefield... We will never lay down our weapons," he further asserted.
Hezbollah unveils underground Imad 4 missile facility: Footage
On August 16, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah released a video showcasing a sophisticated underground facility and an extensive tunnel network, completed with missile launchpads.
The video titled "Our Mountains, Our Strongholds" featured the Imad 4 facility, which highlights the Resistance's missile capabilities.
The footage showed Hezbollah freedom fighters inside a sophisticated underground complex, with visible signs marking the facility as Imad 4 and displaying the Quranic verse: "Prepare against them whatever you can of [military] power."
The video also showed missile trucks moving from within the facility toward a blast door, preparing them for launch.
In the video, excerpts from a speech by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah were used, in which he asserted that "the Resistance is stronger than ever since its inception in the region."

Hezbollah operations quadrupled in October: Israeli Alma Institute
The Israeli Alma Institute conducted an analysis of the operations launched by Hezbollah against Israeli targets in October. What do the numbers reveal?
An analysis from the Israeli Alma Institute has revealed a significant surge in operations launched by Hezbollah in the face of "Israel", with the frequency increasing by a staggering fourfold in October.
According to details reported by the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Hezbollah executed a total of 1,158 operations against "Israel" throughout the month, marking a dramatic escalation.
Researchers Tal Barry and Dana Pollack reported that, after analyzing data from the onset of the attacks in October 2023 through October 2024, a total of 3,235 operations were recorded. This amounts to an average of approximately 270 attacks per month, highlighting a sustained pattern of operations.
The Institute noted that "the attacks increased roughly four times the monthly average, signaling a dangerous escalation that unfolded throughout this month."
Drones emerge as a significant asset for Hezbollah
Researchers revealed that in October, around 54 Israelis, including 40 soldiers, were killed.
The analysis indicated that 54% of the operations were aimed at settlements located within 5 kilometers of the border, while Hezbollah also carried out 296 attacks beyond this range—reflecting a notable increase compared to previous months.
Regarding the drone attacks, the Alma Institute noted that Hezbollah’s drones serve as a crucial advantage, stating that one drone "brings hundreds of thousands of civilians into shelters and engages all layers of Israel’s defense."
"With the use of one such single UAV, Hezbollah creates a narrative of victory and attrition," it asserted.
Concerning the barrages of rockets and missiles, Alma Institute revealed that "we know of at least 2,291 rockets and missiles that crossed Israeli territory in October 2024," based on IOF daily data, asserting that there are additional operations that are not included.
Earlier today, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah carried out a series of critical operations targeting multiple Israeli positions and military assets, inflicting significant losses and damage on Israeli forces, sites, and equipment. The Islamic Resistance's fighters continue operating across several fronts, launching rocket barrages deep into occupied territories and engaging invading Israeli forces on the border from point-blank.
Israeli media reported a tense morning with thousands of settlers seeking refuge in shelters due to continued rocket fire from Lebanon.
The Israeli military confirmed that rockets landed in Haifa Bay following a barrage launched from Lebanon, with at least 10 rockets detected heading toward Haifa.
Sirens sounded in numerous areas, including Zar'it, Bar'am, Sa'sa', and settlements across the Western and Upper al-Jalil. Alerts also sounded in Kiryat, Akka, Haifa Bay, Atlit, and its surrounding areas south of Haifa, as well as Nahariya.
Israeli reports also confirmed that an unmanned drone crashed in Haifa without prior warning, while sirens sounded in Katzrin, south of the occupied Golan Heights. Channel 12 indicated that around 20 rockets were fired from Lebanon targeting the southern Golan Heights.

Palestinian Resistance takes control of Israeli drones in Gaza skies
On the 394th day of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, the Palestinian Resistance continues its targeted operations against the Israeli occupation forces invading the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip is actively engaging Israeli occupation forces, executing high-end operations against Israeli drones.
The al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, released footage showing its fighters taking control of Israeli drones used for intelligence tasks in the skies of Gaza.
Additionally, the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades announced that they shot down an Israeli drone while it was carrying out intelligence operations in the eastern Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, the al-Qassam Brigades announced the targeting of an Israeli military site along the Netzarim axis using a Zouari one-way drone.
Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that "the Resistance is engaged in confrontations with the occupation forces in the western areas of Rafah, southern Gaza."
Al-Qassam takes responsibility for northern Gaza lethal IED ambush
Following a series of lethal improvised explosive devices (IEDs) ambushes in the northern Gaza Strip town of Jabalia, al-Qassam Brigades has taken responsibility for executing another of these ambushes.
IEDs planted in buildings and other areas in the northern Gaza Strip continue to cut into the Israeli military's renewed aggression on Jabalia, with the most recent case killing two Israeli soldiers and injuring another.
In a related development, an Israeli soldier was killed early Saturday morning in the northern Gaza Strip in a grenade explosion, the Israeli military reported. Simultaneously, the Military Police have reportedly initiated an investigation into the incident, which appears to be unrelated to ongoing combat. While the Israeli army has not released the soldier's identity, local authorities have identified him as Shneur Zalman Cohen from the occupied West Bank settlement of Yitzhar.
In a related context, the Israeli military command announced, on Saturday, that two soldiers, serving under the 162nd Armored Division's 84th Givati Infantry Brigade, were killed in the northern Gaza Strip. Israeli broadcaster Channel 14 reported that an IED planted in a building eliminated the two soldiers.

Niger strikes deal to buy Russian satellites, radars
Niger signed a deal with Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of Russia's Roscosmos space agency, to purchase three satellites aimed at enhancing security in the Sahel nation and its neighboring countries.
Niger has reached an agreement with the Russian space firm Glavkosmos on Friday to purchase and deploy a communications satellite, a remote sensing satellite, and a defense and security radar system.
This collaboration, stemming from talks in Mali in September, entails coordination between the Alliance of Sahel States (AES)—which includes Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso—and Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of the Russian state corporation Roskosmos.
Announced by Mali’s Economy and Finance Minister Alousseni Sanou, the AES initiative will include a communications satellite designed to improve internet access in remote areas, as well as an observation satellite to bolster border security, manage natural resources, and aid in disaster response efforts.
Niger’s Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Sidi Mohamed Raliou, highlighted that these new initiatives are centered on achieving sovereignty in space-based communication and defense. Their goal is to enable the three AES nations to gain strategic control over their data and satellite operations.
“We have agreed with the Russian company on the acquisition of these three satellites for a period of four years,” the Nigerien Minister announced on Friday, noting Mali finalized its agreement the previous day.
Raliou noted that the production of the satellites will take four years, during which Glavkosmos will provide similar equipment for rent. He added that local engineers, officials, and students from the participating nations will receive training to manage and operate the equipment.
He said, “There will also be a main station. We requested that the command center of these satellites should be in Africa, in one of our three countries,” adding that “at the end of this project, the three countries will be able to control their communication satellites themselves and manage them as they please.”
It's important to note that Glavkosmos specializes in coordinating Russian space activities and serves as the official provider of remote sensing data gathered by Russian satellites.
Additionally, Niger signed an agreement on Tuesday with Starlink, the satellite internet division of SpaceX, to enhance high-speed internet access across the country. Raliou mentioned that the deal, signed in Niamey, is designed to improve connectivity and bolster digital security.
Starlink's satellites already provide coverage in Niger, facilitating access for schools, businesses, universities, healthcare services, and agriculture. Under the agreement, Starlink will deploy its terminals across the country, improving internet access in remote and underserved regions.

Niger receives new Russian military advisors, equipment: State media
Tele Sahel says Russia has now sent three cargo planes of military material and instructors to Niger in the past month.
New Russian military advisors and military equipment have arrived in Niger, according to state television in the West African country.
A first set of about 100 Russian advisors had arrived in Niger on April 10 along with air defense systems. Two military transporters arrived Saturday, according to Tele Sahel, which said that Russia has now sent three cargo planes of military material and instructors in the past month after talks between military ruler General Abdourahamane Tiani and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin confirmed Thursday that Russian troops were now installed at a Nigerien air base near the Niamey airport that also houses US troops.
Austin said the Russian deployment did not pose a "significant issue... in terms of our force protection."
"Air base 101 where our forces [are], is a Nigerien air force base that is co-located with an international airport in the capital city. The Russians are in a separate compound and don't have access to US forces or access to our equipment," he said at a news conference
Niger's military authorities, which took power in a July 2023 coup, expelled French troops based in the country and then denounced a military cooperation agreement with the United States.
Washington agreed in April to withdraw its 1,000 soldiers from the country and is now engaged in negotiations with Niamey regarding an orderly withdrawal.
It is noteworthy that US forces have a key drone base near Agadez, built at a cost of about $100 million, which witnessed hundreds of protesters gathering in its vicinity to denounce its presence in the country.
In late April, Nigerien diplomat Ali Tassa told Al Mayadeen that Niger is determined to expel US forces from its territory.
"Washington initially wanted to negotiate the continuation of an air base, but the Nigerian government refused," Tassa underlined.
He stressed that Niger was open to collaboration with Russia, China, Iran, and any country that respects its sovereignty, adding that his country is strengthening its relations with Moscow.
The diplomat affirmed that Niger is "interested in strengthening its army to confront terrorism."
Iranians mark US embassy takeover in 1979 with massive nationwide rallies
By Press TV staff
Iranians staged rallies across the country to mark the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, also known as the National Student Day, chanting slogans against the United States and Israel over their crimes in West Asia
.
The nationwide mass marches kicked off at 09:30 a.m. local time (0600 GMT) to commemorate the anniversary of the US embassy takeover.
In the Iranian capital Tehran, the protesters gathered outside the former headquarters of the US embassy, also known as the Den of Espionage.
On November 4, 1979, Iranian university students took over the US embassy building less than a year after the Islamic Revolution toppled the US-backed Pahlavi dictatorship.
They later published documents proving that the compound was indeed engaged in plans and measures to overthrow the Islamic Republic.
The occasion has then turned into a symbol of resistance and fierce fight against arrogant powers, marking the Iranian students’ vigilance in dealing with Washington’s threats.
‘The Day of Fighting Global Arrogance.’
Reaffirming their commitment to the 1979 Islamic Revolution and the fight against Western hegemony represented by the United States and its allies, Iranians again took to the streets on Sunday across the country to mark the ‘The Day of Fighting Global Arrogance.’
The biggest rallies were held in the capital Tehran and major cities such as Mashhad, Kerman, Isfahan, Qom and Hamadan with participants holding banners and chanting anti-US and anti-Israel slogans.
November 3, or Aban 13 in the Iranian calendar year, marks three important events in contemporary Iranian history: the exile of the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini, the student protest movement of 1978, and the takeover of the former US embassy in Tehran in 1979.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, speaking to a gathering of students on Saturday, said the Iranian nation is firm in its determination to confront global arrogance and the criminal apparatus that dominates today’s world order.
Referring to the US embassy takeover in 1979, he said it was not merely a site for diplomatic and intelligence activity, but the headquarters of hatching plots to undermine the Islamic Revolution.
“For the Iranian nation, inspired by Islamic teachings, standing up against oppression is a duty. Confronting arrogance is a duty. Arrogance means comprehensive economic, military, and cultural domination and the humiliation of nations,” Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
“The continuation of the Iranian nation’s path in confronting arrogance requires knowledge, thought, technology, and a roadmap," he added.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution said the American interference in Iran was extensive, referring to the CIA-orchestrated coup that overthrew the democratically elected government of Dr. Mohammad Mosaddeq.
Exile of Imam Khomeini
In early 1963, Imam Khomeini issued a strongly-worded declaration condemning the then West-backed Iranian dictator's plans to introduce the “White Revolution” in the country, a US-inspired package of measures designed to give his unpopular regime a false progressive facade.
The architect of the Islamic Revolution also issued a detailed manifesto in which he listed various ways in which the Pahlavi ruler was seen fanning moral corruption in the country.
At the beginning of June of that year, he delivered powerful speeches in which he compared the Shah to Yazid ibn Muawiyah, which resulted in the Khordad 15 mass protests across Iran.
These protests were brutally suppressed, with hundreds of protesters killed. Imam Khomeini was kept under house arrest for 8 months and was eventually released in 1964.
At the beginning of November 1964, the charismatic leader of the Islamic Revolution made a denunciation of both the Shah and the US, this time in response to the diplomatic immunity granted to US military staff in Iran by the Shah, which he described as a capitulation.
As a result, he was arrested again and sent into exile on November 4, first to Turkey, from where he went to Najaf in Iraq in 1965, and finally to Neauphle le Château in France in 1978.
Imam Khomeini spent over 14 years in exile, a significant period during which he put forward the revolutionary political concept of "Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist" (Velayat-e faqih) that laid the foundation for the Islamic Republic in 1979 after a long struggle.
From exile, he led popular mass protests across Iran that ultimately resulted in the overthrow of the West-backed Pahlavi dictatorship and his triumphant return in February 1979.
Student protests
Another important event associated with Aban 13 was recorded on November 4, 1978, when thousands of Iranian students gathered inside the campus of the University of Tehran to protest against the Pahlavi dictatorship and its high-handed practices.
The regime forces responded brutally and indiscriminately with tear gas, batons, and bullets, killing at least 56 young students and injuring hundreds of others.
“The attitude of the Americans toward this important day and its congenial and unifying gatherings is that of anger and frustration because this day is both the embodiment of the United States’ evils and the embodiment and proof of America’s vulnerability and the possibility of its defeat,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in his speech on November 4, 2022.
US embassy takeover
The most important and historic event associated with Aban 13 is the takeover of the American embassy in Tehran, also known as the ‘Den of Espionage,’ which is why the day is also known as the ‘National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance.’
In November 1979, around 400 university students, who later came to be known as the ‘Muslim Student Followers of the Imam's Line,’ climbed over the walls of the US embassy in central Tehran and seized the building, diplomatic staff and their sensitive intelligence documents.
Ayatollah Khamenei, in his speech last year, said the takeover of the den of espionage in Tehran “dealt a blow to the US and ruined its reputation in the world.”
He said the documents obtained from the American embassy made it clear that it had become a center of conspiracy and espionage against Iran.
The takeover of the embassy came after Americans allowed the deposed Iranian dictator, who had run away with millions of dollars of money from the state exchequer, to enter the United States
The protesters, supported by most of the political groups in Iran, demanded the return of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi to stand trial for his many crimes.
They also demanded an apology from the US government for its interference in the internal affairs of Iran, including the illegal overthrow of Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953.
In 1953, the British and American spy agencies helped Iranian royalists depose Mosaddegh in a military coup, making the Iranian nation a hostage of US-backed Pahlavi's dictatorship for 26 years.
American leaders were initially opposed to negotiations with Tehran to have their diplomats and spies released, showing their arrogance.
They resorted to economic and military threats against Iran, including Jimmy Carter's approval of Operation Eagle Claw, which failed miserably and damaged US prestige worldwide.
The American embassy staffers were finally released on January 20, 1981, after lengthy negotiations.
It came after the Iraqi Baathist regime of Saddam Hussein, backed by the US and other Western had launched an aggression against Iran that lasted eight years.
