US-assisted Israeli attack on Yemen hits Sanaa Airport during UN visit

"Israel" launches a large-scale attack on Yemen, targeting civilian facilities including Sanaa International Airport and Hodeideh Port with US-UK assistance.

The Israeli occupation launched a large-scale attack on Yemen while the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, was delivering his speech.Israeli attack on Yemen

A source told Al Mayadeen on Thursday that the Israeli aggression on Sanaa and Hodeidah targeted civilian facilities and was carried out with the US and UK's coordination and support.

The source also said that targeting civilian facilities is evidence of the occupation's failure to have a clear target list within the country, stressing that this "will not change the course of the war and will be met with a similar response."

Al Mayadeen's correspondent, in turn, also confirmed that the Israeli occupation's aggression targeted a gathering of travelers, including patients, at the Sanaa International Airport terminal, and also targeted airport control towers.

Significantly, sources told Al Mayadeen, that the Israeli aggression on Sanaa International Airport took place during theļ¾ presence of two UN personnel in the airport: the WHO's Director and the UN's resident coordinator.

Moreover, the sources reported that the UN airplane's co-captain had been injured and was transported to a hospital after the Israeli aggression on the airport, adding that two other airport employees were also killed as a result of the attack.

The source emphasized that the Israeli entity should "not lie in wait for a response from Sanaa because its military operations will continue."

Al Mayadeen's correspondent then added that the Israeli airstrikes hit Sanaa International Airport in the northern part of the capital, as well as two airstrikes on the Hiziz Central Power Plant south of Sanaa.

The correspondent further noted power outages in parts of Hodeidah Province due to the Israeli attack on the Ras Kathib Central Power Plant in the northern part of the coastal city on the Red Sea in western Yemen.

Additionally, our correspondent underscored that the Israeli occupation's aggression on Hodeidah was executed with the US Navy's participation through their warships.

Yemen likely to intensify operations against Israel: Israeli media

Meanwhile, Israeli media outlets reported that officials in "Israel" expect an increase in attacks from Yemen, especially after this assault.

Channel 14 confirmed that the attack targeted three central sites: Sanaa Airport, a power plant in Sana'a, and the Hodeidah port, noting that "this is not an ordinary attack, but the opening of a battle that could be prolonged."

Israeli Channel 14's correspondent also mentioned that Israeli aircraft disabled Sanaa International Airport by destroying the control towers and also disrupted the Hodeidah seaport.

According to Israeli Channel Kan, this was "Israel's" fourth attack on targets in Yemen, adding that the United States had been informed of the operation.

In response, Ansar Allah's spokesperson, Mohammed Abdulsalam, condemned the targeting of Sanaa International Airport and other civilian infrastructure, describing it as a Zionist crime against the entire Yemeni people.

He pointed out that if the Zionist enemy thinks its crimes will stop Yemen from supporting Gaza, it is mistaken, affirming that Yemen will not abandon its religious and humanitarian principles.

Day 447 of Israeli genocide in Gaza: 45,399 martyrs, 107,940 injuries

Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres in Gaza, murdering 38 Palestinians and injuring 137 others.

The Israeli occupation's genocidal onslaught in the Gaza Strip continues for the 447th day, resulting in massive losses across the entire territory, between killed, severely injured, and missing Palestinians, the overwhelming majority of whom are women and children.

Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres, murdering 38 Palestinians and injuring 137 others, raising the death toll to 45,399 martyrs with 107,940 injured, according to the daily report issued by the Ministry of Health Gaza.

While several victims were transported to the partially functioning hospitals across the enclave, countless others remain trapped beneath the rubble, as rescue operations have neared impossible due to constant Israeli obstruction.

IOF continues to bomb various parts of Gaza Strip

During a series of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, at least four people were killed, while others were injured, as a result of the occupation bombing a house on the old Gaza Street, in Jabalia al-Balad, while people were injured as a result of targeting in Jabalia al-Nazla.

The occupation carried out a heavy bombardment targeting the area around Kamal Adwan Hospital, resulting in the killing of two ambulance crew members. Additionally, the body of a female martyr was recovered from outside the hospital gate after an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on the entrance.

Israeli helicopters also launched heavy fire at the southern areas of Gaza City, targeting the neighborhoods of al-Zaytoun and al-Sabra, while simultaneously, the occupation forces initiated artillery shelling in the same regions.

At least eight martyrs and several wounded were reported following an Israeli bombardment that targeted a house in the al-Sabra neighborhood. Meanwhile, several martyrs and wounded individuals were brought to the Baptist Hospital after the occupation forces targeted a group of people on al-Maghribi Street in Gaza City.

Several people were killed and injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house on Jaffa Street in the Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

In the central Gaza Strip, occupation artillery renewed its shelling of areas east of al-Masdar village, southeast of al-Maghazi camp. The Israeli targeting also reached the southern Gaza Strip, where helicopters fired on the al-Fakhari area, east of Khan Younis, while artillery shelled the town of Khuza’a, also located east of the city.

Two people were also killed in an Israeli drone strike in the Musbah area, north of Rafah city.

It is worth noting that at dawn, occupation forces detonated a booby-trapped robot in front of Kamal Adwan Hospital, causing shrapnel to reach the surgical departments and patients' accommodations.  As a result, Dr. Hassan Dabous, who was on duty, was seriously injured in the attack.

In the al-Nuseirat camp, occupation aircraft directly targeted a broadcast vehicle belonging to the al-Quds Today channel, located in front of the gate of al-Awda Hospital. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of five journalists: Faisal Abu al-Qumsan, Ayman al-Jadi, Ibrahim al-Sheikh Ali, Fadi Hassouna, and Mohammad al-Lad'ah.

Ansarullah pledges to continue anti-Israeli operations regardless of all pressures

The leader of the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement has pledged that the country’s armed forces will continue their military operations against Israeli assets, irrespective of all pressure campaigns that the Tel Aviv regime and its allies could apply against the Arab nation.Syyed Al Houthi

“Despite all pressures and temptations, Yemeni forces will not cease their operations. Israeli acts of aggression against our homeland can’t deter us from offering our support to Palestinians and their resistance factions,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said in a televised speech on Thursday evening.

He added that the Zionist regime knows full well that Yemeni maritime operations against its interests will continue unabated and that the strikes have had a significant impact on its economic situation.

“The Israeli enemy has admitted to its ability to confront the Yemeni challenge as it has roots in faith, vigilance, insight, wisdom and trust in God,” the Ansarullah chief said.

Houthi emphasized that Yemeni retaliatory strikes have inflicted dramatic economic losses on the Zionist entity.

“The regime’s financial market indices plunged, and its currency depreciated in the aftermath of last week’s missile attack on Tel Aviv’s southern suburb of Jaffa. The Israeli enemy is suffering from an exorbitant cost due to attempts to intercept Yemeni missiles,” the Ansarullah leader said.

Houthi said Yemeni armed forces carried out a major and successful operation against the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, as the Nimitz-class vessel was preparing to conduct a large-scale act of aggression against Yemen.

“Since World War II up until now, no one in the world has dared to launch an attack targeting US aircraft carriers; but Yemeni forces did,” the Ansarullah leader said, underlining that Yemeni maritime units’ attacks on US warships have proven to be impactful.

Houthi noted that the fact that the US military has admitted to having mistakenly shot down a F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet over the Red Sea vividly points to its state of failure, incapability and utter confusion.

The Ansarullah leader stated that the Zionist regime and the US have failed miserably to stop Yemeni missile and drone attacks, highlighting that Yemen’s hypersonic ballistic missiles have repeatedly evaded Israeli anti-air missile systems and this is a huge achievement.

Hamas urges action against Israeli settler incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has called for action against the increasing raids by Israeli settlers on the revered al-Aqsa Mosque and throughout the West Bank.

A member of the Hamas political bureau and head of the al-Quds Affairs Office, in a press statement on Wednesday, warned about the Israeli incursions into the holy al-Aqsa Mosque as part of a big invasion.ben-gvir-1536x1024

“The extensive incursions by settlers during the so-called Hanukkah festival are part of the ongoing Israeli crimes against our people and sacred sites across the West Bank,” Harun Nasser al-Din stated.

He emphasized the importance of gathering at al-Aqsa Mosque to resist such attacks and support the ongoing fight against the Israeli military campaign against Gaza that has persisted for over 14 months.

Earlier on Friday, the Hamas official emphasized that protecting al-Aqsa has evolved into a sacred obligation due to the severe violations against Islamic holy sites, which are coinciding with the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian population in Gaza and the West Bank.

He also called for a large gathering at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the upcoming days, aimed at safeguarding the site and countering the increasing efforts of Judaization.

On Wednesday, Israeli settlers launched a large-scale raid on al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli police to commemorate the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, or the Festival of Lights, which usually begins in December. This year it started on December 25 and lasts until January 2.

Moreover, extremist Jewish groups known as the “Temple Mount groups” called for widespread incursions into al-Aqsa coinciding with the Hanukkah.

During this period, groups of settlers enter al-Aqsa Mosque in significant numbers to perform Talmudic rituals in its courtyards, which mostly leads to tensions among Muslim worshipers and Israeli security forces.

Non-Muslim worship at the compound is prohibited according to an agreement between Israel and Jordan following the regime’s seizure of East al-Quds in 1967.

In recent years, tensions have escalated around al-Aqsa Mosque due to increased visits and activities by Israeli settlers, particularly during religious holidays and significant dates in the Jewish calendar.

Hardline Israeli officials and settlers regularly storm the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied city, a provocative move that infuriates Palestinians. Such mass settler break-ins almost always take place at the behest of Tel Aviv-backed far-right groups and under the protection of the Israeli police in al-Quds.

The latest intrusion by Israeli settlers comes as the occupying regime keeps its bloody war machine going in the Gaza Strip, which has left 45,361 Palestinians killed, mostly women and children, since October 7 last year.

Hamas condemns Ben Gvir’s storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, urges Muslims to protect their holy site

The Hamas Movement has condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the extremist Itamar Ben-Gvir on the first day of the Jewish “Festival of Lights”, calling it a dangerous violation. It urged the Arab and Islamic nations to assume their responsibility to protect the Al-Aqsa and other holy sites.

Hamas confirmed in a statement on Thursday that Ben-Gvir’s storming of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning represents a dangerous violation and reflects the tendency of the extremist right-wing occupation government towards escalating its attacks and criminal measures against the Al-Aqsa aiming at Judaizing the holy site and tightening its control over it.Al Aqsa mosque AA

It called on the Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the 1948 occupied Palestine to mobilize at Al-Aqsa in defense of its sanctity and in confrontation of the Israeli Judaization plans.

It also called on “our valiant resistance and our revolutionary youth in the occupied West Bank to escalate their clashes with the criminal enemy and its settler gangs.”

Hamas called on “our Arab and Islamic nation, governments, peoples and organizations, headed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to shoulder their responsibilities, and take a firm stance towards the Israeli occupation’s incursions and blatant attacks on the first of the two Qiblas and the third of the two Holy Mosques, and to work by all means to stop this brutal aggression against our Palestinian people, and to protect our Islamic and Christian sanctities, foremost of which is the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

Hamas mourns Al-Quds journalists, calls their assassination a war crime

The Hamas Movement said the Israeli occupation’s assassination of five journalists in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza Strip constitutes a horrific war crime and a deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalistic work, with the aim of terrorizing journalists and deterring them from exposing the Israeli crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.hamas-journalists

The Movement mourned the martyred journalists in a brief statement on Thursday, stressing that Palestinian journalists will persist in performing their humanitarian and media mission and exposing the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinian people and land.

Israeli warplanes assassinated five Palestinian journalists, who were in a broadcast vehicle in front of Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza, at dawn Thursday.

The five martyred colleagues work for Al-Quds Al-Youm satellite channel. They are Faisal Abu Al-Qumsan (news correspondent), Ayman Al-Jadi (photojournalist), Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali (journalist), Muhammad Al-Lad’ah (journalist), and Fadi Hasouna (journalist), according to a statement issued by the Government Media Office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip.

According to the GMO’s statement, the number of journalists killed since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has risen to 201, with hundreds wounded and dozens arrested.
