Sirens sound across Tel Aviv as Hezbollah fires barrage of missiles at Israeli target
Air raid sirens sounded in the Israeli-occupied city of Tel Aviv and its surroundings after the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah launched a barrage of missiles against the occupying entity, amid the regime’s intensified deadly aggression against Lebanon.
Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen news channel reported on Sunday that more than five heavy and long-range missiles were fired toward a military target in Tel Aviv.
According to Hebrew-language media, at least 10 Israelis were injured in Petah Tikva, east of Tel Aviv, as well as Haifa and Nahariya after rockets hit these areas.
Israeli media also reported that explosions were heard in central Tel Aviv due to the landing of rockets fired from Lebanon.
Hezbollah said in a statement that it carried out an operation against a “military target” in Tel Aviv using “a barrage of advanced missiles and a swarm of strike drones.”
The Israeli military said it intercepted around 55 projectiles fired at the northern occupied territories.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah said its fighters had carried out a drone attack on the Ashdod naval base in the southern part of the occupied territories.
The resistance group said that it had launched an aerial attack using a swarm of strike drones on the Ashdod naval base for the first time.
Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.
Since late September, Israel has escalated its strikes against Hezbollah, assassinating its leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and a number of its senior figures.
At least 3,600 people have been killed by Israeli fire, and 15,200 others wounded since the clashes began last year, according to the health ministry.
The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its Gaza war, which has so far killed at least 44,176 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

Israel's morning interrupted by Hezbollah's undeterred launches
The Israeli occupation forces are still unable to make a breakthrough in southern Lebanon as Khiam proves to be near-impossible to invade in light of Hezbollah's fierce resistance.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported the latest updates on Operation People of Might, stating that Hezbollah engaged with Israeli invading forces in nine points of confrontation over the past 24 hours.
Two of these points involved direct missile and machine gun battles from point-blank range in the areas surrounding Deir Mimas in the eastern sector and the outskirts of al-Bayyadah in the western sector.
Regarding Israeli losses, our correspondent reported that Hezbollah destroyed three Israeli tanks in the past 24 hours, targeting the eastern outskirts of al-Bayyadah, the western outskirts of Chama, and the area around the town of al-Jibbain. This brings the total number of Merkava tanks destroyed since the outset of the Israeli ground invasion of Lebanon to 54, along with their crews.
Hezbollah's fierce resistance preventing 'Israel' from capturing Khiam
Amid seven days of intense fighting, Hezbollah continues to thwart Israeli attempts to capture the southern Lebanese town of Khiam. The Resistance movement has maintained a strategy aimed at inflicting maximum losses on the Israeli occupation forces' 210th Division, consistent with its actions across other flashpoints.
Despite relentless Israeli airstrikes, artillery bombardments, and ground assaults since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, Hezbollah has prevented Israeli forces from advancing into Khiam. This marks the second Israeli offensive against the town, with no signs of success thus far.
Over the past 24 hours, Hezbollah targeted seven Israeli military positions east of Khiam, as well as a gathering in the al-Amrah area to the south. Additionally, five military positions were hit at the Deir Mimas-Kfar Kila triangle along the same axis.
The Israeli ground operation aims to push Hezbollah forces out of the region and destroy key infrastructure to prevent the launch of rockets from South Lebanon into northern occupied Palestine, according to our correspondent.
Hezbollah intensified its strikes on Israeli military positions, settlements
Rocket launches toward the North have been ongoing since morning, with nearly 100 rockets launched in recent hours, Israeli media confirmed, adding that Hezbollah has launched 60 rockets since this morning, intensively targeting the Metulla settlement, causing significant damage.
Commenting on this issue, the head of the Metulla settlement council described the situation as "a harsh morning."
In a related context, Prosper Azran, former mayor of Kiryat Shmona, sarcastically stated, "Today, rushing to fortified areas has become a popular and essential activity, a vital exercise mandated by the Home Front Command for both children and the elderly."
Azran further emphasized that Hezbollah has distributed its rockets and drones throughout northern "Israel", from Nahariya and Haifa to the central region of the entity.
Over the past 24 hours, the Resistance movement targeted four Israeli military sites in northern Palestinian settlements, including Hanita, al-Manara, al-Malikiya, and Biram.
In addition, Hezbollah launched attacks on five Israeli settlements—striking Kiryat Shmona twice, along with Avivim, Dishon, Eliat HaShachar, and Meron. The group also targeted the Shraga base and the command center of the Golani Brigade north of Akka, executing two separate operations.
In the latest escalation, Hezbollah targeted the occupied city of Safad with a rocket salvo over the past 24 hours. Additionally, the group launched a precise strike on the Mishmar HaCarmel site for air and missile defense, located south of Haifa in occupied Palestine.
Our correspondent speculated that Hezbollah may target Tel Aviv today, especially after Saturday's strike on Beirut.
Our correspondent emphasized that "Israel" has yet to achieve its goal of halting attacks on its strategic depth.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon confirmed that Hezbollah launched a targeted rocket salvo toward Netanya and northern Tel Aviv, prompting hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers to seek shelter once again and bringing traffic to a standstill.
Military pressure on Lebanon could backfire on us: Israeli army reserve Major General Israel Ziv
Israeli Army reserve Major General Israel Ziv, former commander of the Operations Division, said "Israel" must give up something crucial in order to reach a ceasefire agreement with Lebanon.
He warned that "the ground expansion and military pressure could backfire on us and work against us if an agreement is not signed, and then we will find ourselves stuck in the Lebanese quagmire."
Israeli Channel 12 quoted Ziv as saying that "the most important thing is not that we are close to reaching a settlement in the north," rather, the main point of contention is imposing any such settlement through increasing military pressure, which has proved futile thus far.
He added, "There is a point that you cannot cross in the negotiations, and continuing military pressure at a certain stage normalizes this pressure, as the opposite party stands strong."
He also saw that there seems a possibility for the attacks carried out against Lebanon to backfire on "Israel" as what happened at the United Nations, referring to the ICC arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant.

Day 415 of Israeli genocide in Gaza: 44,211 killed, 104,567 injured
On the 415th day of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation military intensifies its attacks on the northern and central regions of the Strip.
Israel continues its war of genocide against the Gaza Strip, now ongoing for the 415th day, with the Gaza Health Ministry announcing that in 24 hours, the Israeli military committed four massacres, killing 35 and injuring 94 others, with many victims still trapped under rubble or out of reach due to Israeli bombardment.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation has killed 44,211 Palestinians and injured 104,567 others, the Ministry confirmed Sunday in its daily report.
Israeli genocide continues unabated
Several Palestinians were killed and others were injured today in Israeli airstrikes on the Jabalia and Nuseirat refugee camps in northern and central Gaza, according to local and medical sources.
In Jabalia, a number of people were either killed or wounded when Israeli military vehicles fired live ammunition at individuals trying to leave the camp, which has been under a severe Israeli siege for over 51 days.
The sources also confirmed that multiple civilians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the al-Rahma neighborhood, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Additionally, Israeli aircraft targeted a house in Nuseirat, killing a Palestinian father who was attempting to repair his roof to prevent rainwater from leaking into his home.
Gaza Civil Defense says hospital chief injured by Israeli drone
Gaza's Civil Defense said Sunday an overnight drone strike resulted in the serious injury of the Kamal Adwan Hospital chief in an attack on the healthcare facility.
Hossam Abu Safiya is the head of Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of just two partly operating facilities in northern Gaza, amid an escalating dire humanitarian crisis.
Abu Safiya suffered an injury to his back and left thigh from metal fragments following an attack on the hospital complex, Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal told AFP.
After losing a lot of blood, the doctor was in a "stable" condition, Bassal said, adding that an Israeli drone bombed the hospital in Beit Lahia, north Gaza.
Hospital staff have reported several strikes on the facility, while the World Health Organization chief said he was "deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of 80 patients, including eight in the intensive care unit" at Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Hospitals in the Gaza Strip have been a deliberate target since "Israel" unleashed its genocidal war on the Strip.
In a related development, Gaza's Civil Defense reported severe damage to tents sheltering thousands of forcibly displaced people across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip this morning, as heavy rain caused widespread flooding inside the makeshift shelters.

Russia's nuclear doctrine update signals message to West: Kremlin
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stresses that Russia's nuclear doctrine is not a coincidence but a clear message to the West.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin in an interview published Sunday that President Vladimir Putin's decree updating Russia's nuclear doctrine should be viewed as a message to the West and not as a mere coincidence.
“Surely, there cannot be any coincidences here. There is certain consistency,” Peskov said when asked about the doctrine update, adding that Russia is ready to respond to unprecedented escalation incited by the West.
“Although President Putin assigned to prepare the amendments in order to adapt our [nuclear] doctrine to the conditions of the current confrontation, which is incited by the Western states, Putin has to respond to the unprecedented escalation which is primarily spurred by the outgoing administration in Washington,” Peskov said.
The spokesperson added that the United States is taking increasingly reckless actions to escalate the conflict in Ukraine.
Regarding the Oreshnik missile test-fire this week, Peskov said, “Apparently, a very narrow circle [of people knew about it]."
Peskov admitted he was unaware of the test and noted that, given the current geopolitical situation, the development of new weapons is a highly classified process.
Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile system
Two days ago, during a meeting with top military officials and military industry executives in the Kremlin on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on the new Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile system.
Oreshnik is Russia's newest hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM), which Putin unveiled Thursday. Russia targeted the Yuzhmash complex in Dnipro, Ukraine, which manufactures missile technology, with a successful Oreshnik strike.
Russia already possesses a stockpile of Oreshnik missile systems and has decided to mass produce them, Putin divulged.
The pPresident explained that Russia would "continue these tests, including in combat conditions, depending on the situation and the nature of the security threats that are created for Russia, especially since we already have a stockpile of such systems ready for use."
Putin approves Russia's updated framework
On November 19, Putin approved the framework for Russia's state policy on nuclear deterrence, as outlined in a decree published on the legal information portal.
The timing of the issuance of the decree is critical as it comes mere days after US President Joe Biden approved Ukraine's use of American long-range missiles against military targets within Russia, in a significant policy shift long sought by Kiev.
Putin has warned that such a decision would signify NATO's direct involvement in the conflict.
The decree emphasizes enhancing Russia's nuclear deterrence strategy to address potential threats and maintain national security.
It categorizes aggression against Russia or its allies by a non-nuclear state supported by a nuclear one as a joint attack, adding that any aggression from a state within a military coalition is treated as an act of aggression by the entire coalition.

Iranian destroyer’s cruise missile power quadrupled
Sabalan breaks its own record as the Iranian Navy’s destroyer with the most anti-ship cruise missiles.
The Iranian Navy's Sabalan destroyer has surpassed its previous record for carrying the highest number of cruise missiles, according to Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani.
Speaking to Tasnim, Irani revealed that the missile capabilities of the Sabalan have quadrupled, both in variety and range, compared to its original configuration.
He added that the destroyer is now equipped with 16 anti-ship cruise missiles. The general noted that the upgraded version of the military vessel will be unveiled soon.
Weighing 1,500 tons, the Sabalan was initially equipped with just four ムQaderメ and ムQadirメ cruise missiles.
An Alvand-class warship, the destroyer has participated in numerous overseas missions as part of the Iranian Navy's flotillas.
Sabalan is believed to be equipped with a new long-range strategic cruise missile, named after Iraqi Resistance commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, which the Iranian Navy received in July 2023.
With a range exceeding 1,000 kilometers, this domestically developed missile significantly extends Iran's naval defense capabilities, expanding the coverage area and enhancing the operational range of Navy units.
The missile, described as the first long-range naval cruise missile with artificial intelligence integrated into its trajectory guidance and command-and-control systems, is capable of flying at low altitudes to evade radar detection. It can also adjust its course and altitude mid-flight, enhancing its maneuverability and effectiveness.
