Sayyed al-Houthi expresses regret over the lack of any serious Arab action to stop Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.

The leader of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, emphasized on Thursday that the Zionist project, pursued by the Americans and Israelis, represents an aggressive scheme against the region, threatening people's freedom, independence, lands, and rightsSyed Al Houthi.

In his speech marking Martyr's Day and addressing recent developments concerning the Israeli occupation's genocide in Gaza and aggression on Lebanon, as well as broader regional and international issues, Sayyed al-Houthi stated, "The Zionist project poses a threat to our nation, attempting to undermine its identity, religion, independence, freedom, territories, and wealth."

He warned, "Accepting American demands in our region amounts to submission and serving as a tool in their hands, which is sheer foolishness and absolute loss," adding that "the American goal is to subjugate our nations—officially and publicly—for the benefit of Israel, America’s exclusive partner."

Sayyed al-Houthi asked, "What benefit is there for our nations to devote their resources to the interests of enemies who despise them, deny their humanity, and oppose their right to independence?" He added that "some Arab regimes have entangled themselves in subordination, despite knowing that their people are targeted, and have opened their lands to American military bases."

In this context, he questioned, "What prevents a Muslim nation of two billion from supporting Palestine, the homeland of Arabs and Muslims, against a common enemy?" He responded, "Our nation isn’t held back by a lack of numbers or resources but by a lack of insight, which is why awakening the people is essential."

Sayyed al-Houthi explained that "the genocide against Gaza’s people is being carried out with American bunker-buster bombs, accompanied by starvation and forced displacement."

Outcomes of the Arab-Islamic Summit disappointing

On the Arab response to the aggression against Gaza, Sayyed al-Houthi said, "We regret the Arab failure to support Palestine and the absence of any serious actions—even minimal actions like cutting ties or expelling the Israeli ambassador."

He continued, "Instead, some Arab regimes have increased shipments to the occupation entity despite the horrific crimes committed against the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples," noting that "this failure is disgraceful and the outcomes of the Arab-Islamic summit were very disappointing during this period of extreme Palestinian suffering."

Sayyed al-Houthi observed that the recent summit’s results were unsurprising for our people, and the statement issued was mild, coming out merely as a "statement of requests."

He questioned, "Why appeal to the Americans to stop the aggression when they are a direct partner in it against the Palestinian and Lebanese people?"

Regarding initiatives from some Arab regimes, Sayyed al-Houthi noted that "these initiatives concede four-fifths of Palestine to the enemies, even without any return."

He also pointed out, "Issuing a statement is the most such summits can do, and from here, people must be aware of the imminent danger facing them all," expressing regret for "the lack of any measures to support the Palestinian people, whether through boycotts, humanitarian support, or even labeling the enemy as a terrorist."

The Ansar Allah leader condemned "the speeches given at the recent summit that criticized Yemen’s actions against the occupation entity and its allies."

Resistance stands firm

Sayyed al-Houthi praised the continued operations of the Palestinian Resistance, particularly the al-Qassam Brigades in northern Gaza, despite the siege and starvation campaign, stating that the ongoing operations reflect great resilience and deserve real support, not just statements.

He also noted that "Hamas’ steadfast commitment to principled political stances despite pressure and suffering is truly admirable."

Regarding Resistance operations in Lebanon, Sayyed al-Houthi highlighted the daily failures and losses suffered by the occupation in southern Lebanon due to Hezbollah’s resistance, which has intensified its operations, reaching Tel Aviv.

He asked, "How can some parties in Lebanon talk of 'neutrality' when an enemy is targeting and attacking the country?"

Our operations reach deep into occupation territory

Sayyed al-Houthi discussed Yemenメs support for Palestine and its Resistance, stating, "While the enemy was preparing to launch its largest aerial aggression against our country, we decided to open a support front for Gaza."

He announced that "this week, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out military operations with 29 ballistic and cruise missiles and drones."

Sayyed al-Houthi added, "Our military operations this week targeted the depth and south of occupied Palestine, including Yafa, Askalan, Umm al-Rashrash, and an Israeli airbase in the al-Naqab Desert, as well as targets in the sea."

On the occasion of the Martyr’s Day anniversary, Sayyed al-Houthi highlighted how the Yemenis were willing to offer martyrs since day one.

"Our dear people, within the framework of the battle of the Promised Conquest and the Holy Jihad, [are ready to] present martyrs for the sake of God," he said, explaining that "from the first day of our Quranic journey, we have presented martyrs in all past stages which are mirrored through today's stance against Israeli and the US."

He asserted that the martyrs' sacrifices are part of the eternal struggle between the values of truth and justice, on one side, and Satan and its followers, on the other, with all their manifestations of darkness, evil, and crime.

In this context, he urged the concerned authorities to uphold their responsibilities toward the families of the martyrs at the highest levels. He also urged the public to always be aware of their responsibilities toward the families of the martyrs and to follow in the martyrs' footsteps in terms of giving and goodness.

Lebanon soaked in Golani blood, no Israeli victory: Israeli media

Israeli media confirms that "there is no end in sight for the war," stressing a gap between official statements and the reality on the ground.

Israeli media confirmed on Thursday that "there is no end in sight for the war, and even when it concludes, it will continue in different forms and across other sectors."

The media reports also emphasized several issues related to the settlers and their "places of residence," with the primary question being raised by Israelis: How long will this war last?

Israeli media also noted a second point regarding the Golani Brigade, which has been deployed in both the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, highlighting that "the cost of its involvement has been steep, and its ranks are dwindling."

The Israeli reports noted that the Golani Brigade, the most important unit in the Israeli army, is facing a significant shortage of fighters, adding that "Lebanon is soaked with the blood of generations of Golani soldiers," tracing the brigade's sacrifices from Goni Harnik, who fell in the 1982 invasion of Lebanon at Beaufort Castle, to Erez Gerstein, who led the liaison unit during the late stages of the Israeli occupation of southern Lebanon. They also mentioned Roi Klein, the deputy commander of the 51st Battalion, who was killed in Bint Jbeil during the 2006 war.

Israeli media reported that the most recent losses were announced on Wednesday when the Israeli military spokesperson reported the killing of a platoon commander and five other soldiers from the 51st Battalion during confrontations in southern Lebanon.

Israeli statements are contrary to reality

Israeli media also highlighted a gap between official statements and the reality on the ground. While Israeli officials continue to announce victories over Hezbollah, the situation on the ground is telling a different story.

They pointed out that settlers are being killed in "Israel", with drones bombing Haifa, missiles hitting both Haifa and Gush Dan, and the reality in the North, which they said has been abandoned and devastated for over a year.

Israeli media emphasized that the longer the war drags on, the more "Israel's achievements will be diminished," with all operations—from targeting Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah to the pager attacks to the strikes on Hezbollah's leadership and missile capabilities—eventually becoming part of the past.

"Today we live in a bloody reality in which we are being killed more and intercepting more missiles, without any benefit, so the conclusion is 'an agreement must be reached as soon as possible," Israeli media reports suggest.

On that note, the Islamic Resistance's Operations Room vowed Tuesday that the decision by the Israeli military to move to the second phase of the "ground maneuver" in southern Lebanon would only result in further losses for Israeli forces, underscoring Hezbollah's readiness to counter any offensive.

In a statement, the Operation Room confirmed that Hezbollah's field observations since October 1, 2024, showed that Israeli losses include over 100 fatalities and 1,000 injuries among officers and soldiers. Meanwhile, the Israeli Channel 14's military correspondent reported that 11 soldiers were killed and more than 10 others were injured on the Gaza and Lebanon fronts over the past two days alone.

Hezbollah's targeting of Kirya proof of capabilities: Israeli media

Following Hezbollah's targeting of the Kirya base in Tel Aviv, and the subsequent rocket launches toward the central region in occupied Palestine, Israeli media suggested that the third phase of the war with Hezbollah includes Tel Aviv, emphasizing that the Lebanese group "is committed to the promises it made."

Israeli Channel 12's political affairs correspondent, Yaron Avraham, considered that the launches directed at Tel Aviv are proof of Hezbollah's extensive firepower capabilities, pointing out that "anyone who believes otherwise is mistaken; the situation is not like that at all."

Avraham indicated that this capability "shall remain with Hezbollah, even after the completion of a ceasefire agreement, if one occurs," with Israeli media outlets noting that the Lebanese group is capable of launching rockets at the central region daily.

Similarly, retired Major General Eitan Dangot acknowledged in a statement to Channel 12, that Hezbollah "maintains its rocket and drone capabilities and achieves successes through them."

Hezbollah leader to fighters: You are the pride shaking foundations of Zionism

Hezbollah’s secretary general writes a letter addressed to the Lebanese resistance movement’s fighters, hailing their ongoing proud struggle in the face of the Israeli regime and its supporters.

The letter dated Wednesday marked the Hezbollah leader Sheikh Naim Qassem’s response to one that had been penned to him by the group’s fighters on Saturday.Naim Qassem+Hassan Nasrallah

“You are the pride shaking the foundations of Zionism,” Sheikh Qassem wrote in the letter.

“The might of your resistance fortifies our steadfastness and achieves our victory through the defeat of our enemy,” he noted.

The Hezbollah leader commended the fighters’ “faith in the liberation of al-Quds and our occupied land,” referring to their cast-iron determination to free the holy city and the rest of the occupied territories from Israeli occupation.

“You repel the enemy with your foreheads, and drive them away beneath your feet,” Sheikh Qassem stated, adding, “You are strength in the face of arrogance and tyranny.”

He noted how the group’s members had “ventured into the depths of death, and yet continued to resist.”

Hezbollah has been putting up stiff resistance in the face of the Israeli regime’s October 2023-present escalated aggression against the country that has claimed the lives of at least 3,360 people, including women and children, so far.

The retaliation has featured hundreds of successful operations against the occupied Palestinian territories and the Israeli forces trying to advance on southern Lebanese areas.

Earlier in the day, the movement said more than 100 Israeli forces had been killed and over 1,000 others wounded as a result of its reprisal.

The fatalities include six Israeli troopers, who were killed by the group throughout the past 48 hours.

The deaths occurred after Hezbollah’s fighters ambushed the 51st Battalion of the Israeli military’s Golani Brigade in southwestern Lebanon.

“At 10:00 AM, Zionist forces entered a building where Hezbollah soldiers were waiting. As soon as they entered, four Hezbollah fighters reportedly emerged from a nearby tunnel and opened fire,” the group said of the operation.

“At the same time, the resistance fighters were supported by anti-tank shells from all sides. They continued targeting them for three hours until 1:00 PM,” it added.

The group’s retaliatory strikes have also led to the destruction of more than 43 of the regime’s advanced Merkava tanks, over eight military bulldozers, and several armored vehicles, personnel carriers, and Hummer vehicles.

The movement has also managed to strike down more than six of the regime’s state-of-the-art Hermes drones.

BRICS offers Turkey partner status, Turkish trade minister says

The BRICS group of developing economies has offered “partner country” statues to Turkey, the Turkish minister of trade says, two months after Ankara formally requested to join the bloc of emerging market nations.Erdogan with Putin

“As for Turkey's status regarding (BRICS) membership, they offered Turkey the status of partner membership,” Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat said.

“This (status) is the transition process in the organizational structure of BRICS,” he further said in his interview with private broadcaster TVNet.

Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency quoted Bolat as telling legislators during a parliamentary committee meeting that at the last summit meeting in Kazan, Turkey’s application was considered.

“It is understood that they will respond to us (by offering) a partner country status,” he added.

Bolat also rejected claims that India had blocked Turkey’s full membership in the bloc because of Ankara’s close ties to rival Pakistan.

“There is no question of India vetoing our membership,” he said.

The BRICS group of fast-developing economies, which is considered the foremost geopolitical rival to the G7 bloc, initially consisted of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. This year, it was expanded to include Iran, Egypt, the UAE and Ethiopia as new members.

Back in early September, Turkey, which is NATO member state, formally asked to join BRICS as a full member with the stated aim of “simultaneously” boosting its relations with East and West.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended a BRICS leaders’ summit in Kazan last month, hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin, following Ankara’s announcement that it had formally initiated steps to join the group as a full member.

The Turkish leader, whose country has been frustrated by the lack of progress in its membership talks with the European Union, has already stressed that Turkey views the BRICS group as a chance to enhance economic cooperation with its members, rather than as a substitute for its Western alliances and NATO membership.

Aside from full membership, BRICS members introduced a “partner country” category in Kazan, according to the declaration issued by BRICS on October 23.

BRICS, founded in 2006, promotes a multipolar world order and is often seen as an alternative to Western economic and political hegemony. It comprises almost 46 percent of the global population, 36 percent of the world’s gross domestic product (GDP) and 25 percent of the global trade measured in terms of exports.

The founding members of the bloc have advocated for reforming global institutions such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank.
