The Government Media Office declared Gaza a disaster zone, warning that basic survival resources have collapsed. It urged international intervention to save 2.4 million people at risk of starvation, dehydration, and disease.
The office placed full responsibility on Israel, the Biden administration, and all those who have politically, economically, and militarily supported Israel’s actions.
Authorities in Gaza have outlined a post-war reconstruction plan in coordination with local and international organizations. They are calling for urgent relief, including the entry of 200,000 tents, 60,000 mobile homes, and essential shelter supplies.

Israeli forces demolish 100 buildings in Jenin amid ongoing invasion
The forced displacement of approximately 15,000 people from Jenin refugee camp and Al-Hadaf neighborhood has led many to seek refuge in nearby villages and towns.
Israeli forces have demolished 100 buildings in Jenin, according to reports from Israeli media on Sunday. The large-scale destruction is part of the ongoing military operation in the occupied West Bank, which has resulted in extensive damage to infrastructure and mass displacement.
Israeli reports described the demolition campaign in Jenin as "the first of its kind", noting that it was carried out under the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Security Minister Israel Katz.
Massive Explosions Rock Jenin Refugee Camp
Palestinian media documented the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) detonated multiple buildings in the Jenin refugee camp on Sunday. According to local sources, around 20 buildings in the eastern part of the camp were rigged with explosives and detonated simultaneously, with loud explosions heard across the city and surrounding areas.
Dr. Wisam Bakr, director of Jenin Governmental Hospital, confirmed to WAFA news agency that some hospital sections sustained damage from the blasts, though no injuries were recorded.
Widespread Displacement and Rising Death Toll
The destruction of multi-story residential buildings in Jenin refugee camp has left many families homeless, worsening the humanitarian crisis. Israeli forces have been conducting their military assault on Jenin and its refugee camp for 13 consecutive days, resulting in 25 martyrs, dozens of injuries, mass arrests, and severe infrastructure damage.
On Sunday morning, an Israeli sniper killed 73-year-old Walid Al-Lahlouh at the entrance to Jenin refugee camp, while another Palestinian was shot in the thigh in Al-Jabriyat neighborhood.
On Saturday, five Palestinians, including a child, were killed in the eastern part of Jenin and Qabatiya, south of the city.
The forced displacement of approximately 15,000 people from Jenin refugee camp and Al-Hadaf neighborhood has led many to seek refuge in nearby villages and towns.
Hospitals in Jenin are also experiencing a severe water shortage after Israeli forces targeted and destroyed water supply lines, leaving 35% of the city’s population without access to water.
What did the Palestinians achieve in Gaza?
By Selçuk Türkyılmaz
After the ceasefire agreement was signed in Gaza, Israel continued targeting ordinary people in the West Bank. This is hardly surprising. As a colonial outpost for Britain and the U.S. in the Eastern Mediterranean, Israel views these attacks as necessary for its strategic goals, which are rooted in settler expansionism. Even while the genocide in Gaza was ongoing, settler groups in the West Bank had already begun plotting their next moves for Gaza. TRT World’s documentary Sacred Occupation provided valuable insight into these settler organizations in the West Bank. They were discussing how to colonize Gaza with the conviction that they would succeed. After the ceasefire was signed, even Trump, then newly seated as president, seemed influenced by their plans, speaking about how beautiful homes could be built along Gaza’s coast. This offers a critical clue as to who was aware of these settler colonization goals. Yet, despite their ambitions, the settlers failed. Although left in ruins, Gazans managed to return to the last spaces that belonged to them, leaving the settlers in the West Bank visibly disappointed.
It’s unlikely that the depth of the settlers’ disappointment will be fully understood in Türkiye. Comments and actions meant to answer questions like “Did the Palestinians win, or did Israel?” are often seen as another example of polarization here. For those asking, “Where is the victory in this? Gaza was flattened, thousands died, and the region is in ruins,” understanding the joy on the faces of Palestinians seems nearly impossible. Many align with this perspective. Some even dismiss Gaza’s plight altogether, claiming the Western system is functioning perfectly and there’s no need to ask what happened there.
However, the belief among conservative religious groups that Gazans cannot defeat Israel deserves closer attention. This polarization is fueled, unfortunately, by a tendency to center oneself in these events. This habit also extends to discussions on Gaza, where even basic concepts are misunderstood, leading to naïve or self-orientalizing attitudes.
Settlers are key actors in achieving a state's colonization goals. Israel began encroaching on Gaza through settlers long ago. These settlers, now described as non-state actors, are not bound by legal constraints. In Türkiye, this group remains largely unknown. Even those who stand in solidarity with Palestinians avoid using the term “settler.” Some argue that calling settlers “thieves” is necessary, claiming that the term “settler” softens their actions. While I won’t delve into a debate over terminology, it’s crucial to understand the special role of settlers in colonial expansion. Settlers are both individuals and organized groups who act as non-state agents advancing state objectives. While their theft is obvious, reducing their actions to mere theft is misguided. Terms like invasion and occupation also fail to capture the entirety of settler activity.
Organizations like Haganah were founded to protect settlers, while financial institutions and NGOs operated to ensure the success of settler expansionism. If we don’t view this as a systemic issue, we cannot grasp the meaning of the resilience reflected on the faces of Gazans walking steadfastly through the rubble. This resilience could never have been represented by opposition groups operating within the system.
After Trump assumed the presidency, his rhetoric evoked a new era of colonial expansion. While discussing the geopolitical implications of his statements is important, what they truly signify is colonial expansionism. These policies were thought to have been left in the 19th century, yet Zionists have continued to implement them in Palestine. For the first time, Palestinians stopped the Zionists on their own in Gaza. They resisted for 15 months, refusing to allow new settlements to take root. This resistance clearly also hindered U.S. ambitions.
By analyzing events as part of a system, we can better appreciate what Palestinians have accomplished. Their achievement represents a new idea in this struggle.
Pezeshkian highlights deterrence as Iran unveils three satellites, ballistic missile
President Masoud Pezeshkian has highlighted Iran’s deterrence power as the country unveiled three new satellites and a ballistic missile.
Marking National Space Technology Day on Sunday, Pezeshkian attended a ceremony at the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), where Pars-1 and Pars-2 remote-sensing satellites, as well as Navak communications satellite were unveiled.
The upgraded version of the Pars-1 satellite reportedly has made significant improvements in comparison with its predecessor.
Pars-2 remote-sensing satellite enjoys much higher imaging accuracy, with a visual spectrum of 8 meters in color and 4 meters in black and white modes respectively.
Moreover, the Navak satellite is manufactured to test communications in an elongated elliptical orbit and would be placed in such an orbit for the first time.
Also on Sunday, Pezeshkian visited an exhibition showcasing the Iranian Defense Ministry’s latest achievements, including satellite launchers and guidance systems.
He oversaw the unveiling of a new ballistic missile named “Etamad” with a range of 1,700 kilometers.
The missile, which is 16 meters long and 1.25 meters in diameter, carries a guided warhead until it hits the desired target.
Additionally during the exhibition, the pictures of a new generation of indigenously-made missile defense system, Bavar- 373, were put on show.
The photos showed that the system’s launchers are equipped with tracking and fire control radars, with enhanced capability to engage hostile targets.
‘Iran’s defense capabilities and space technologies meant for deterrence’
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Pezeshkian said Iran’s defense capabilities and space technologies are meant for deterrence and preventing other countries from thinking about an invasion against the Islamic Republic.
“Iran’s advancement in defense capabilities and space technologies serves to deter aggression and guarantee that no country dares encroach on Iranian soil or even thinks about it,” he added.
Pezeshkian also noted that despite attempts by the enemies to prevent Iran from standing on its own feet, the country-- relying on its youth and experts-- proudly produces and even exports military equipment and makes scientific progress.
“At one point, the enemies could easily invade our country, but today they can no longer think about it given Iran’s high military and defense power that has been achieved thanks to the efforts of the country’s youth, experts, and specialists,” he said.
Iran ‘reached maturity’ in field of satellite carriers
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh said Iran has “reached maturity” in the field of satellite carriers, with the successful missions of Simorgh and Qaem-100 serving as evidence of this progress.
Iran, he added, has become “completely self-reliant” in developing satellites, their carriers, as well as necessary ground infrastructure, control, and navigation systems.
Nasirzadeh also revealed that the country plans to launch two more satellites into space in less than two months.
He also hailed cooperation between the ministries of defense and ICT, the Aerospace Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and knowledge-based private companies.

Dozens of settlers defile Aqsa Mosque
Scores of extremist Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Sunday morning, amid tight restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the holy site.
According to local sources, at least 117 settlers, including 32 religious students, entered the Mosque through its Maghariba Gate and provocatively toured its courtyards under police protection.
During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates and prevented many of them from entering the holy site.
