It pointed out that the casualties of the Israeli renewed aggression since March 18 had reached 1,449 martyrs and 3,647 injured.

The overall number of casualties since Israel launched its war of genocide on Gaza on October 7, 2023 had reached 50,810 martyrs and 115,688 wounded, it added.

The ministry pointed out that an unspecified number of victims are still trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings or lying on roads and rescue teams cannot reach them.

Egypt proposes new deal for Gaza ceasefire: Israeli media

Egypt has sent a new deal aimed at securing the release of Israeli captives from the Gaza Strip and a permanent ceasefire.

The Israeli regime received Egypt's updated proposal for a prisoner exchange deal and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The deal revolves around the release of eight living captives from the Gaza Strip in exchange for a truce that lasts between 40 and 70 days. Captives would be released in stages; however, Israeli media outlets said that neither the Palestinian Resistance led by Hamas nor the Israeli government had issued their final response to the deal.

In detail, the proposal includes guarantees for a permanent ceasefire and the full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip.

Among the eight captives to be released is Israeli-American soldier Edan Alexander, whom Hamas had previously offered to release. Moreover, the deal would also allow displaced Palestinians to return to their homes and the entry of humanitarian aid.

According to reports, the Egyptian deal also guarantees that negotiations begin for a second phase of the agreement.

These reports coincide with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's second visit to the White House since Donald Trump assumed his presidency.

Speaking to reporters, Trump said that he would like to see the war in Gaza stop.

"I’d like to see the war stop, and I think the war will stop at some point that won’t be in the too distant future," Trump stated.

"Right now, we have a problem with hostages. We’re trying to get the hostages out…. It’s a long process. It shouldn’t be that long," he added.

Israeli authorities reneged on a multi-phase ceasefire agreement in March, violating key clauses before launching a wide-scale aerial assault on the Gaza Strip. Since then, the Israeli regime has escalated its military campaign with relentless bombardment, coupled with a ground invasion that has pushed into multiple areas—including northern Rafah—further deepening its aggression across the besieged territory.

US war machine takes Yemen under 22 new attacks; 16 killed, injured in al-Hudaydah

The United States has launched 22 fresh deadly airstrikes across several provinces around Yemen shortly after subjecting the country to dozens of similar aerial attacks.Yemen 4-8-2025

Yemeni sources reported the new assaults on Wednesday, saying they targeted the capital Sana’a and the central province of Ibb among other places.

In the capital, eight new airstrikes were reported, though no immediate casualties have been confirmed yet. The strikes are believed to have hit critical infrastructure, further disrupting civilian life in the city.

In Ibb, three airstrikes reportedly targeted the communications network in what appeared to be an effort to dismantle civilian sites and sever lines of internal coordination.

Tragedy in al-Hudaydah; children among fatalities

The most devastating toll, however, was reported in the western province of al-Hudaydah, where six civilians, including two children and a woman, were confirmed dead. At least 16 others were also injured, many of them critically.

Rescue teams are, meanwhile, still working to remove the rubble and search for survivors in the aftermath of the bombardments.

Human rights groups say the targeting of al-Hudaydah, a densely-populated city that also serves as Yemen’s main port and humanitarian lifeline, has raised serious concerns over the continued erosion of civilian safety and the flow of essential aid into the country.

The attacks took the overall instances of American aerial aggression towards the already impoverished country to some 50 within the past 24 hours.Yemeni missiles

Despite the United States own refusal to pinpoint the principal purpose of the escalation against Yemen that began last month, the aggression is widely viewed as a continuation of Washington’s broader regional policy in support of the Israeli regime and its brutal war of genocide on the besieged Gaza Strip.

In solidarity with Gaza, Yemen’s Armed Forces have been striking Israeli and Israeli-linked targets and American military assets in the Red Sea and beyond on numerous occasions.

Yemeni officials have described the operations as a legitimate response to the genocide, the US’s support for it, and the American assaults on Yemen itself.

Despite its vast firepower, the Pentagon has failed to prevent Yemeni missile and drone operations.

On Sunday, CNN described the American campaign of aggression as an astronomically-expensive push that had fallen far short of deterring Yemen, which had even threatened to extend the scope of its retaliatory strikes.

Hamas mourns Tunisian youth who raised Palestinian flag: A brave and honorable act

TUNIS, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement has mourned the death of Fares Al-Khaled, a 21-year-old Tunisian youth who passed away on Monday after attempting to raise the Palestinian flag atop a building at the Higher School of Sciences and Technologies of Design in Manouba Governorate, northern TuTunisian Youthnisia.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Hamas described Al-Khaled’s act as a “heroic, brave, and honorable gesture — a message filled with dignity, loyalty, support, and solidarity with our people and their just cause.”

The statement added:

“Fares Al-Khaled, the martyr of the Palestinian flag, has ascended to eternity, engraving his name in the record of heroes who carried the banner of Palestine with their bodies and souls. He proved that defending Gaza, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa is a duty for all the free people of the world — an open path for anyone to reject aggression and stand up for the dignity and pride of the Ummah, and to confront the machinery of death and destruction with courage.”

Hamas extended its condolences to Al-Khaled’s family, affirming that “the flag of Palestine will remain high, and the blood of our youth will continue to inspire our people and our nation to follow the path of liberation and return.”

Death toll of journalists in Gaza rises to 211 since October 7, 2023

GAZA, (PIC)

The Government Media Office in Gaza announced on Tuesday that the number of journalists killed since Israel launched its war of genocide on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 211.press

This comes following the killing of journalist Ahmad Mansour, who succumbed to his wounds on Monday after an Israeli airstrike targeted a journalists’ tent near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

In a statement, the media office said: “The number of journalist martyrs has risen to 211 since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza.”

It added that this was due to the crime committed by the Israeli occupation when it targeted a media tent near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, killing journalist Hilmi Al-Faqaawi, and later leading to the death of Ahmad Mansour, who was critically injured in the same attack.

The statement confirmed that Ahmad Mansour was a journalist working with the Palestine Today news agency.

The media office strongly condemned the targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by Israeli forces.

It called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Federation of Arab Journalists, and all professional press organizations around the world to denounce these systematic crimes against Palestinian journalists and media personnel in Gaza.

The statement further held Israel, the US administration, and other countries involved in the genocide, such as the UK, Germany, and France, fully responsible for this brutal and heinous crime.

It also urged the international community, global organizations, and journalistic institutions worldwide to condemn these crimes, pressure Israel to stop them, and pursue legal accountability for the perpetrators in international courts.

The media office demanded serious and effective pressure to stop the genocide and to protect journalists and media workers in Gaza from further killings and assassinations.

On Monday, one journalist was killed and nine others injured in the Israeli strike on the journalists’ tent in Khan Yunis. The bombing caused a fire that led to further injuries, and the wounded were transported to Nasser Hospital for treatment.

On 18 March, Israel reneged on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in place since 19 January, resuming its campaign of genocide in Gaza, despite Hamas’ full compliance with the agreement.

Since 7 October 2023, and under unconditional US support, Israel’s war on Gaza has resulted in over 166,000 Palestinians killed and wounded, the majority being children and women, with over 11,000 missing under the rubble.

US secures 99-year rent-free access to Diego Garcia naval base

The pact has sparked political debate in Britain, with the Reform Party's deputy leader Richard Tice indicating that if the Reform Party were to win, the pact would be cancelled.

The United States is preparing to acquire long-term, rent-free access to Diego Garcia, a distant military base in the Indian Ocean, under a pact close to being signed by Mauritius and the United Kingdom.

The pact permits US soldiers to utilize the island for 99 years without paying rent.

The proposed pact won approval from US President Donald Trump, with the announcement made on April 1. Both the United Kingdom and Mauritius have shown a desire to finalize the agreement as quickly as possible.

However, the pact has sparked political debate in Britain.

The Reform Party, which has recently outperformed both the ruling Labour Party and the Conservative opposition in public opinion polls, raised considerable concerns.

During an interview days ago, Deputy Leader Richard Tice indicated that if the Reform Party were to win power, the pact would be canceled. He also criticized the US' free access, arguing that Mauritius had previously received money in 1965 when it agreed to waive future claims to the Chagos Islands, where Diego Garcia is located.

Meanwhile, the US is increasing its military actions on Diego Garcia. Analysts utilizing satellite photos recently observed B-2 Spirit stealth bombers being armed on the runway.

These planes are thought to be involved in continuing airstrikes on Yemen's Ansar Allah.

The USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108), an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, was en route to the Chagos region, crossing westward through the Malacca Strait by April 3, and was cruising in the Indian Ocean.

Sources say Diego Garcia presently hosts about seven B-2 bombers, accounting for nearly one-third of America's complete fleet of these powerful aircraft.

US President Donald Trump has threatened that if Iran does not reach a nuclear agreement, there would be a bombardment "the likes of which they have never seen before."

The sheer number of bombers presently stationed in Diego Garcia suggests that the US is preparing for military action or that the deployment is intended to send a strong message to the Iranian leadership.

These stealth bombers, sometimes known as "ghosts of the sky," are designed to evade even the most sophisticated air defense systems.

According to a former US Air Force colonel quoted in news reports, the move is intended to put pressure on Iran to either cease its alleged backing for the Yemeni Armed Forces in Yemen or resume nuclear talks.

Diego Garcia was thought to be well out of range of enemy strikes owing to its isolated position. The island is located in the center of the Indian Ocean, approximately 1,960 kilometers southwest of Thiruvananthapuram, India, and 3,500 kilometers east of Tanzania.
